Village of Oregon Wisconsin

The Village of Oregon, located in south-central Dane County, is a small community that has experienced a large growth in population over the past several decades. The Village’s proximity to Madison provides an escape from the growing central Dane County area, while maintaining easy access to all the metropolitan area has to offer.

Residents enjoy the “small-town” atmosphere of the Village. The historic downtown roots the Village in its past; in it are located many businesses, as well as the main institutional buildings (Village Hall, fire station, police station, library, senior center, and swimming pool. Residents enjoy visiting the businesses downtown and attending farmers markets and concerts in the downtown park.

Oregon offers an affordable choice when it comes to purchasing a home or finding rental housing. Oregon has a variety of housing options at costs well below those found in Madison and many other Dane County communities. Several new housing developments are currently underway. In addition, Oregon offers nationally recognized schools, beautiful parks, extensive sports and recreation programs, and quality public services. All of this in a community that still retains the feeling of a small town.

Three large housing developments, the Bergamont Community, Alpine Meadows, and Oregon Parks Neighborhood, are currently underway. These developments are projected to add approximately 1,400 homes to our community.
